New Unusual Project

Wed Aug 26, 2009, 8:50 AM
So, some of you might know this, some might not. A feral cat died in my backyard this summer. Well, being the resourceful, odd, and creative person that I am, I decided to use the remains. All of the tissue has completely decomposed off of the bones, leaving me a perfect cat skeleton.

I have decided to paint this skeleton with bright colors and flowing motifs. I am already almost done with the skull, so expect pictures soon.

Pony Express to SoCal

Sat Jul 4, 2009, 10:44 AM
Guess what guys? I'll be heading out to Los Angeles on Tuesday for a 10 day stay. Let me know if you want to meet up while we're out and about. My family and I will be taking a three day trip up to Monterey to see the aquarium and look around the town and surrounding areas.

Fri Apr 3, 2009, 12:55 PM
The surgeon's office meassaged me back a few days ago and they have made their final decision on what they want for the sculpture.

I am making the coral reef scene!!!!

This thing is going to be about 6 feet tall. Estimated price is around $1,000. I'll be posting pics of it as I build this monsterous piece.

Big news! Your chance to help make a decision.

Hello all.

I was recently commissioned to make a sculpture for an orthopedic surgeon's office in Newport News. The materials are unlike anything I've used before, and loads more expensive! I get to use artificial joint replacements!!!!!!!

Here are some ideas I've had for the sculpture;

-coral reef scene
-abstract human figure
-great blue heron

The thing is, I have no idea what else I could make out of these awesome pieces of metal.
Anyone have any ideas? I would appreciate any input.

Back From the Land of the Aztecs

Sat Jan 17, 2009, 12:45 PM
I just got back from my Mexico City trip with my school's art department. It was an incredible trip!!! I learned so much, saw more than I imagined, and spent more money in two weeks than I have ever done before....... The artwork was incredible and I feel even more inspired than usual! The food down there was awesome!!! Everything was so fresh!

Anyways, I took 1325 pictures while down there, so expect to see a lot pretty soon. I do miss the 72 degrees Ferenheit weather though, right now it's a blistering 12 degrees! Nothing can prepare you for that much of a temperature shift!

I bought lots of cool arts and crafts while I was down there too, I'll post pictures of those as well.
